I’m Rhiannon, a Board-Certified Psychiatric Mental Health Nurse Practitioner and a Doctor of Nursing Practice. My interest in mental health began many years ago while earning a bachelor’s degree in psychology from the University of Wisconsin-Madison. In the years since, I received a Bachelor of Science in Nursing from Georgia State University and spent more than a decade working as a nurse in critical care and special procedure departments. I earned both Master of Science and a Doctor of Nursing Practice degrees from the University of Colorado, Anschutz Medical Campus.
I enjoy working with adults over age 18 and specialize in management of depression, anxiety, bipolar disorder, trauma-related disorders, ADHD, obsessive-compulsive related disorders, and many other mental health concerns. I have received additional training in perinatal mental health and am comfortable providing medication management before, during, and after pregnancy. I also enjoy being part of the treatment team for individuals experiencing perimenopause and menopause, providing psychiatric medication management for symptoms if indicated.
I work closely with all of my clients to make collaborative, thoughtful, evidence-based, and safe decisions regarding treatment plans, which may include both medication management and lifestyle modification recommendations.
Outside of my nurse practitioner role, I love to mountain bike, climb ice, read fiction, and train my very high-energy dog!
