My name is Kristin and I am a Psychiatric Mental Health Nurse Practitioner who believes that mental health care begins with seeing the whole person—not just a diagnosis.
Throughout my nursing career, I’ve had the opportunity to care for people in a variety of settings, including corrections, palliative and hospice care, inpatient and outpatient psychiatry. These experiences have shaped the way I approach psychiatric care today: with kindness, curiosity, and an appreciation for each person’s unique experiences and story. I also enjoy teaching CNA students during their clinical rotations, which allows me to continue sharing my passion for compassionate, person-centered care with the next generation of healthcare professionals.
My approach to treatment is holistic and individualized. While medication can be an important part of mental health treatment, I believe there is so much more to our wellbeing. I take time to understand how sleep, movement, relationships, self-care, hobbies, environment, life experiences, and daily routines may be affecting your mental health. Together, we can identify realistic changes and treatment strategies that support the life you want to live.
I provide care for adults experiencing anxiety, depression, bipolar disorder, trauma, grief, autism spectrum disorder (ASD), and other mental health concerns. I strive to create a space where you feel heard, respected, and comfortable being yourself—without judgment.
My goal is not simply to treat symptoms, but to understand you: your experiences, your strengths, your challenges, and the story that brought you here. I believe meaningful mental health care is a collaborative process, and I’m honored to be a part of that journey.
Outside of supporting my patients, I enjoy spending time with loved ones, going to concerts and music festivals, traveling, trying new things, and spending time with my cat, Anderson, and my panther chameleon, Ernesto.
